This policy explains what History·Buff ("we", "us"), operated by

What we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we store your email address (or, if you use Google sign-in, the name and email Google shares with us) and a chosen username.
- Gameplay data. Your daily scores, round history, and statistics, so we can show your stats and the leaderboard.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
- Technical data. Basic information your browser sends (such as IP address and device type) and cookies/local storage described below.
Cookies & local storage
We use two kinds:
- Essential — to keep you signed in and remember your game progress and your cookie choice. These are required for the game to work.
- Optional analytics — only if you choose "Accept all", to understand usage and improve the game. You can decline these and the game still works fully.
How we use your data
- To run your account and show your stats and ranking.
- To process and manage your Pro subscription.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
- With your consent, to send product updates and occasional offers (you can unsubscribe from any such email or in Email Preferences), and to improve the game through analytics.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — stores your account and gameplay data.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments.
- Netlify — hosts the site and serves the pages.
- Google — only if you choose Google sign-in, to authenticate you.
Data retention
We keep your account and gameplay data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting [your@email.com].
Your rights

Children
